About

The NMIMS IEEE student branch was started in the year 2006 with an initial student member strength of over 80. The branch is affiliated to the IEEE Mumbai section. From its very inception, it has been one of the most dynamic IEEE student branches in Mumbai.

Our student branch works in accordance with the different objectives of IEEE and tries to provide the students of NMIMS a competitive environment involving organising and participating in a range of activities aimed at enhancing their academic, professional and career lives, whereby their talents can be brought to light through its events. It has been consistently trying to spread the spirits of engineering and innovation coupled with dynamism and intellect.

We are a dedicated team trying to gain exposure to new technical advances and great career opportunities through team meets and various other events, held regularly, to keep ourselves abreast with the latest developments in cutting-edge technology.

About this Website

NMIMS IEEE is the official website for the IEEE student branch at NMIMS. The website aims to provide its readers with the latest news, reviews, tutorials and happenings on the technology scene, and acts as a web-based point of contact for members of the student branch.

Third Version

This is the third version of the website, launched on 6 September 2008. The second version of the website was launched on 15 November 2007. The very first of the website went live on 1 February 2007.

Accolades

The first version of this website was awarded the Fifth best Student Branch website in the Asia-Pacific region (Region 10) award during the year 2007. The website also holds the distinction of being awarded most points among the websites of new IEEE student branches started during 2006-07 in the Asia-Pacific region.

Credits

This website has been created by two members of the Technology Administration Cell (2006-07), Aditya Pandya and Sumedha Bhalla, who are entirely responsible for the conceptualization, execution and content management of the website.

Credits for the various articles goes to various members of the NMIMS IEEE Student Branch Council (2006-07), who have been kind enough to lend their support to make this website what it is today.

The website is powered by Wordpress+Guzel & BBPress+Kakumei, and utilizes a lot of one-of-its-kind custom PHP & CSS-based hacks. Plugins used include WP-Cache, Google Sitemaps, All in One SEO Pack, Akismet, Democracy and Subscribe2 among others.
